## What is "Ethics"
- What is right and what is wrong
- We are not going to talk about whether something is right or wrong, but rather to consider ethics as a concept
- We will be looking at Ancient Ethics (hence the name of the class)
- Think about an ethical dilemma that you have come across in your life
- When you are confronted by an ethical dilemma, what is your thinking process?
- This can vary significantly from person to person
## Homework Explanation
- Homework will be reading from a text pdf posted on the class page
- There will be a "Reading Quiz" just to make sure that you read and understood what was assigned
